About the Practice

David has worked with adolescents and their parents for the last 35 years.  He is very eclectic in his approach to counseling.  He meets the clients where they are at and accepts them for who they are and where they are at in their lives.  He then joins them in a magnificent journey of change.  His gentle demeanor and genuine attitude about life helps him connect with people and develop a remarkable bond that helps each client trust and move in a positive direction.  David can take the worst scenario and find the positive outcomes that can come from each situation.  Some people have told him he creates miracles, but he would say he just believes in human nature.  Out of all bad comes good.  When he left Denver Children’s Home he came up with a saying.  “All people are born as a piece of gold.  As you go through life you tend to get covered up by mud, it is my goal as a counselor to get you to shine like gold again.”  His practice focuses on helping people deal with the hard transitions in their life.  Whether it is a major change in one’s life, a loss such as death or divorce David will join your path and help you drudge through the muck to help you find some clarity.  He has experience in:

  • Addictions
  • Anger management
  • Anxiety
  • Social skills
  • Career Counseling
  • Depression
  • Grief
